28 Thoughtful Gift Ideas For New Mums & Babies

If anyone is ever in need of pampering and showering in gifts, it’s a new mum. ‘Is it something they’ll actually use?’ and ‘Will they already have been gifted a hundred of these?’ are the two key things to consider when looking for a baby gift. You won’t go wrong with blankets, muslins, toys and very cute outfits, so I’ve dug out the best of the best from those categories. As for mum, I recommend leaning towards pampering, self-care and comfort.

Looking for something else? I’ve got a homeware fix for the interior-lover and some self-care gifts for the women constantly on-the-go. Now, it’s time to find something extra special for a new mama and baby.

22 Christmas Decorations To Get Your House Ready For The Big Day

Holiday season is almost upon us, so it’s time to stock up on the Christmas decorations! I know it doesn’t feel like it usually does but one of the ‘normal’ things we can still do is decorate for Christmas. With so much time at home, are you feeling tempted to do it earlier than usual? I know I am… if only to brighten the place up and welcome in some festive cheer.

My Christmas shopping is almost complete and I’ve made a list of all of the lovely festive food I’ll be picking up nearer the big day. So, all that’s left is the wrapping and decorating. I’ve got a stack of decorations from previous years to pull out of storage but part of the fun is always picking out some new baubles, fairy lights and candles.

Some years, it’s nice to go traditional with reds and greens, glass baubles and classic Santa knick-knacks about the place. While other times, I feel like indulging in all the quirky, modern trimmings that come in all sorts of colours.

I’m still undecided which way I’ll go this year, so this post feels like a mood board of all the brilliant, vibrant Christmas decorations out there and it’s really inspiring me to bring together a tasteful combination of old and new ornaments and decoration.

For more Christmas inspiration, here’s what to buy a man who is hard to buy for, how to treat your tween this festive season and things to keep everyone entertained for a potential lockdown Christmas.

25 Christmas Gifts The Kids Would Love To Get From Santa This Year

It’s unlikely that most of us will make it out for a browse around Harrods or Hamleys in-person, so it’s time to scour the virtual toy shelves to find the top kids’ Christmas gifts to delight the children in your life. My list pulls together games, books, clothes, toys and a couple of things that’ll get them feeling curious, which, all together I reckon would make a pretty cool present haul for any kid on Christmas morning.

Buying for your own children always feels a bit more straight-forward; you can start picking things up and stashing them away anytime throughout the year. It’s nieces, nephews and friends’ children who I find a bit more challenging to buy for, especially if you don’t see them very often! In this respect, if you know they’re super into a specific character or topic, you can always play it safe with a themed gift (think dinosaurs and unicorns). Educational or creative gifts also often go down brilliantly — anything that sparks a child’s imagination feels like a win in my book.

Looking for something for your almost-teenager? I put together a specific gift guide for tweens. We all know that it’s that awkward age to buy for when you don’t want them to think their gift is too ‘babyish’. Speaking of babies… I turned my focus onto what to buy for a new mum and baby this festive season too. Hopefully, these gift lists get you thinking in the right direction with your Christmas shopping or help you pick something out right away!

The Women’s Christmas Wishlist Every Man Needs To See

Putting this gift guide together felt a bit like writing my own wish list to Santa. Some of the picks are pretty simple: pyjamas and socks, you can’t go wrong with. While others are a bit more luxurious and indulgent, but Santa might just deliver, if we’ve been good, right? Whether you’re Christmas shopping for a friend or needing to forward on some inspiration to the man in your life, I’m hoping you’ll find something you like on my list.

Antique natural citrines, Coco Clara

Anything that you’ll treasure forever is a perfect gift and I know one of these citrines from Coco Clara is just one of those family-heirloom worthy pieces of jewellery that will stay in the family for years and years.

7 Personalised Photo Gift Ideas From Photobox

Most of you are familiar with Photobox.  I use it to print my photos straight from my phone & order personalised gifts.  Yes, they have an App! I know the quality is top notch and they are reasonably priced.

Have a look to see what ordered for various Christmas presents this year and I hope it gives you some ideas. I got a bit carried away but there was so much to choose from!

Photo Jigsaw £15

I figured this stocking filler would be great to keep in the car or take on holiday. It is super light and in a neat little box. No lost pieces here.

Cushions £30

I bought this collage cushion as  a little present for our au pair. You can choose the colour border and the figuration of the photos – 1 photos or a collage like this.

Personalised Photo Blocks £15

These photo blocks are brilliant. They are so sturdy and high quality, I wish I had bought more.

3 Keyrings £6

3 keyring for £6 is a bargain. 1 for each child to put on their book bags!

img_1608

Christmas Bauble £10

There is no smashing this bauble to smithereens – I know I am harping on about the quality but trust me, no string is going snap, no photo is going slide and no bauble is going to smash with this one. Bullet proof (or baby proof!) Perfect for a babies first Christmas too.

img_1609

Fridge Magnet £4

I have bought a couple of these, onto keep and one of my nephew. 3 different sizes to choose from depending what layout you photo is. This is 9 x 13 perfect for a landscape shot. They also do the polaroid/ Instagram look fridge magnets too.

img_1611

Movie Poster £13

The I ordered this poster, I thought it would be much smaller and didn’t expect it to be on thick photo paper – it is incredible. One of outside the boys rooms!

Quite fun aren’t they? Let’s hope the recipients think so!

Gorgeous Gifts For A New Baby

Getting a new baby card, let alone a present beyond baby number 1 is always a lovely surprise.  It’s particularly handy when it is from a high street shop as it is simple to return if it isn’t ‘the right size for the right season!’

However, it is ultra special to receive something off piste that you wouldn’t have stumbled upon yourself at the local shopping centre. Here are a few interesting little presents that you can order for your friends new arrival from the comfort of your sun lounger!
